What does a Gemini Notebook extension do?
Google does not make a Gemini Notebook (formerly NotebookLM) browser extension. Third-party extensions add features around it: capturing AI chats and web pages as sources, importing many links at once, organizing notebooks, and exporting or backing up your material.

Extensions for Gemini Notebook fall into a few groups. Capture tools save content that Gemini Notebook cannot import from a link, such as ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity conversations, as clean text sources. Import tools add YouTube videos, open tabs or lists of URLs in bulk. Organization tools add folders or tags, although Google's own Collections (from July 2026) now cover basic grouping. Export tools take text back out as files. Gemini Notebook Toolkit combines capture from AI chats, YouTube, Reddit, LinkedIn, X and ordinary web pages, a private searchable library, bulk import on Pro, and export to Markdown, LaTeX, JSON or plain text. When you choose an extension, check what it can read on each site, whether your data stays in an account you control,, and whether it was updated after the July 2026 rename.
