How do I share a NotebookLM notebook?
Paid Google AI plans, such as Google AI Pro ($19.99/month, formerly Google One AI Premium, which now includes NotebookLM Plus), support shared notebooks. Click Share in a notebook to add collaborators by Google email with viewer or editor roles. The free tier does not support sharing.
In more detail
Shared notebooks require a paid Google AI plan (NotebookLM Plus is now part of Google AI Pro). The paid-plan owner clicks the Share button inside any notebook to grant access. Roles: Viewer (read sources, ask questions, listen to Audio Overviews) or Editor (full access including adding sources). Free-tier users can be added as Viewers in some configurations. Sharing is handled entirely inside Gemini Notebook; Gemini Notebook Toolkit sits on the capture side and keeps your own library and prompts in sync.
