Does NotebookLM have an API?

NotebookLM does not have a public API in early 2026. There is no way to programmatically create notebooks, add sources, or query content from external scripts. Workarounds: Notebook Toolkit (a Chrome extension that automates source capture), Google Drive as a bridge (NotebookLM reads native Drive files), or browser automation (fragile, not recommended).
