What is Voice Chat in Gemini Notebook?

Last verified: October 12, 2026

Voice Chat is a real-time spoken conversation with a notebook, available in the Gemini Notebook mobile apps on Android and iOS only. Google is releasing it first to Google AI Ultra subscribers aged 18 or over, with Google AI Pro and others to follow. A desktop Chrome extension cannot reach it, and we do not export voice chats.

In more detail

Google announced Voice Chat on 15 September 2026 for nearly 100 languages. Because it lives only in the mobile apps, a desktop browser extension such as Notebook Toolkit has no way to see or save the conversation. We found no export option described in Google's announcement. If you want a durable record of what a spoken session covered, keep the notebook's sources in your own library and write notes after the session. Notebook Toolkit saves web pages, YouTube videos and AI chats to a private library, sends them to Gemini Notebook through the Chrome extension, and exports library text as Markdown, LaTeX, JSON or plain text.
