What are Interactive Learning Overviews in Gemini Notebook?
Last verified: October 12, 2026
Interactive Learning Overviews are a Gemini Notebook report type that combines summaries with infographics, quizzes and flashcards. Google says they are available to all users and rolling out over several weeks. Google's announcement describes no export option, and we have not tested Notebook Toolkit against them, so we do not claim to export them.
In more detail
Google introduced Interactive Learning Overviews on 15 September 2026 under Reports. According to Google and to XDA Developers, they are available without a paid plan and are rolling out gradually, so you may not see them yet. They are generated from the sources in your notebook. We found no export option described in Google's announcement, and we have not tested Notebook Toolkit's exporter against this output, so we do not claim it. Notebook Toolkit saves web pages, YouTube videos and AI chats to a private library, sends them to Gemini Notebook through the Chrome extension, and exports library text as Markdown, LaTeX, JSON or plain text. Because an overview is generated from your sources, the durable asset is the source set: keeping it in your own library means you can rebuild a notebook and regenerate the overview later.
