What are Short Video Overviews in Gemini Notebook?
Last verified: October 12, 2026
Short Video Overviews are roughly 60-second videos generated from your notebook sources, offered in more than 80 languages. XDA Developers reported on 6 October 2026 that they are on the free tier with lower usage limits than paid plans. We have not tested Notebook Toolkit against them and do not claim to export them.
In more detail
Google lists Short Video Overviews among its September 2026 study tools: short, source-grounded explainers you can share. Free-tier availability and its lower limits come from XDA Developers, not from Google's announcement, and Google's compute-based usage limits decide how many you can generate, so check Google's help pages for current limits. We found no export option described in Google's announcement. Notebook Toolkit does not download or convert videos, and we have not tested its exporter against this output. Notebook Toolkit saves web pages, YouTube videos and AI chats to a private library, sends them to Gemini Notebook through the Chrome extension, and exports library text as Markdown, LaTeX, JSON or plain text. As with other generated outputs, the source set is what you can keep and regenerate from.
