1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Notebook Toolkit (the “Service”), including our web application at notebooktoolkit.com and our Chrome browser extension, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Notebook Toolkit is a browser extension and web dashboard that helps users organize and manage their research workflow with Google NotebookLM. It provides workspace organization, source capture from web pages and AI chats, tagging, bulk import/export, and team collaboration. It works alongside NotebookLM as a complementary productivity layer — similar to how Grammarly works alongside Google Docs. It does not modify, reverse-engineer, or access any private NotebookLM APIs.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Promptly notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are between 13 and 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
  • Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
  • Use the Service for any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purpose
  • Scrape, crawl, or collect data from the Service through automated means beyond normal use
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Impersonate any person or entity

5. Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you capture, create, or upload through the Service (“Your Content”). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the Service to you.

Our Service

The Service, including its design, features, code, and documentation, is owned by Notebook Toolkit and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Service without our written permission.

6. Payment Terms

Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription. By subscribing to a paid plan:

  • You authorize us to charge the applicable fees through our payment processor, Polar.sh
  • Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date
  • Prices are listed in USD and may be subject to applicable taxes
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis; contact support for refund requests
  • If payment fails, we may suspend access to paid features until payment is resolved

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Settings page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain access to paid features until then.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use of the Service poses a risk to us or other users. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, typically within 30 days.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We are not responsible for the content of third-party websites or services accessed through the Service, including content captured from AI platforms.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NOTEBRIDGE AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes via email or an in-app notification at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
