Google moved Gemini Notebook to a new web address in late July 2026 and the extension only recognised the old one, so sending sources to a notebook quietly failed. This release fixes that, removes host permissions that should never have been published, and adds a health signal so the same class of breakage is caught by us rather than by you.

Saving a page stopped being a form to fill in. The extension now proposes a title, a summary, tags, and a destination notebook, and it notices that you are signed in without being told.

Every article reachable again
Articles are served from the database, and a seeding gap meant a large part of the archive returned a 404 in production while being linked from the site and the sitemap.

Claims cut back to what the product does
A review of our own marketing against our own code found features described on the website that the product did not have. We removed the claims rather than the honesty, and tightened plan limits that were not actually being enforced.
RemovedTeam and RSS capabilities from the website and store listing — they were described but not shipped.
FixedPlan entitlements were enforced in the interface but not on the server. They are now enforced in both places.
FixedYour chosen language was not persisting between visits, and some pages fell back to English mid-session.

The interface rebuild
The extension and the dashboard were rebuilt onto one design system, and the interface was translated properly rather than partially.
